Manage Members – Edit, Deactivate, and Reactivate ChatMaxima Team Members

Overview

1. What is the Manage Members section used for?

The Manage Members section allows you to view, update, deactivate, and reactivate support team members in ChatMaxima.

2. Where can I find the Manage Members section?

Go to Settings → Members → Manage Members from the sidebar in your dashboard.


Active Team Members

3. What can I do in the Active Team Members section?

You can browse and manage all active support team members. View details such as Name, Email, Role, and Status. Use the Actions dropdown to update a member’s profile or deactivate them as needed.

4. Can I edit the profile of an Admin?

Yes, for Admin users, only the Edit Profile option is available. Select the admin and click Edit Profile to make changes.

5. Can I edit or deactivate a regular member?

Yes, for non-admin members, the Actions dropdown provides Edit Member and Deactivate Member options.

6. Is there a search option for active members?

Yes, use the Search Bar to quickly find specific active team members.

7. Can I change a member’s role while they are active?

Yes, you can update a member’s role by selecting Edit Member and choosing the new role.

8. How do I deactivate a member?

Click Actions → Deactivate Member to temporarily disable a member’s access.


Deactivated Team Members

9. What can I do in the Deactivated Team Members section?

You can view and manage members who are no longer active. Check details such as Name, Email, Role, and Status. Use the Actions dropdown to edit or reactivate members.

10. Can I reactivate a deactivated member?

Yes, select a deactivated member and click Activate Member to restore their access.

11. Can I edit a deactivated member’s profile?

Yes, the Edit Member option is available for deactivated members to update their details before reactivation.

12. Is there a search option for deactivated members?

Yes, a Search Bar is available to quickly locate specific deactivated members.

13. Can I permanently delete a member?

Permanent deletion is generally not available by default. Contact ChatMaxima Support for complete removal of a member.


Edit Roles and Add Members

14. What does the Edit Roles button do?

The Edit Roles button at the top of the page redirects you to the Invite Members page, where you can add new members or assign roles.

15. How do I invite new members from this page?

Enter Member Name, Member Email, and Member Role, then click Add Another Member to invite multiple members at once. Click Submit to send invitations.

16. Can I invite multiple members at the same time?

Yes, use the Add Another Member (+) button to add multiple members before clicking Submit.

17. Who can manage or edit team members?

Only users with Admin or Owner access can edit, deactivate, or invite members.

18. How do I know if a member has accepted their invitation?

Accepted members will appear in the Active Team Members section with their status updated accordingly.

19. Can a member be part of multiple workspaces?

Yes, a team member can be assigned to different workspaces if they have the required permissions.
