Overview

1. What is the Manage Departments section used for?

The Manage Departments section allows you to view, edit, deactivate, activate, or delete departments in ChatMaxima, helping you organize your team efficiently.

2. Where can I find the Manage Departments section?

Go to Settings → Departments → Manage Departments from the sidebar in your dashboard.

3. Who can manage departments?

Only users with Admin or Owner permissions can access and manage departments.


Active Departments

4. What information is displayed for active departments?

Active departments show the Department Name, Created Date, and Status.

5. What actions can I perform on an active department?

You can Edit Department, Manage Members, Delete Department, or Deactivate Department using the Actions dropdown.

6. Is there a search option for active departments?

Yes, the search bar allows you to quickly find a specific active department.

7. Can I add a new department from the active departments page?

Yes, click the Add Department button at the top to create a new department.


Deactivated Departments

8. What information is displayed for deactivated departments?

Deactivated departments show the Department Name, Created Date, and Status.

9. What actions can I perform on a deactivated department?

You can Activate Department, Edit Department, Manage Members, or Delete Department using the Actions dropdown.

10. Is there a search option for deactivated departments?

Yes, the search bar allows you to quickly find a specific deactivated department.

11. Can I switch between active and deactivated departments easily?

Yes, separate sections and search boxes are available for both active and deactivated departments.

12. Does clicking the Add Department button in Manage Departments take me to the Create Department page?

Yes, clicking Add Department will redirect you to the page where you can create a new department.

13. What happens if I try to create a department with the same name as an existing one?

You will need to choose a unique name; duplicate department names are not allowed.
