1. How do I create a Live Chat account in ChatMaxima?

From your dashboard, go to Quick Access → Channels → Web. Click on Add Web, fill in the required details, and save.

2. Where do I find the Live Chat Widget in ChatMaxima?

Go to your Dashboard, then navigate to Quick Access → Channels → Web.

3. How do I set up the live chat widget in ChatMaxima?

Go to Dashboard → Quick Access → Web, click Actions → Edit Widget Settings. Customize your widget, save your changes by clicking Submit, copy the embed script, and paste it into your website’s HTML just before the </body> tag.

4. Where can I get the script to add the Live Chat widget to my website?

After you create a web account, a script will be shown. Copy this embed script and paste it into your website’s HTML code. To get the script later, go to Dashboard → Quick Access → Web, and click Actions → Edit Web Settings.

5. Is there a step-by-step guide for creating a Live Chat account in ChatMaxima?

6. Can I install the widget on WordPress, Shopify, or Wix without coding?

Go to Dashboard → Quick Access → Web, and click Actions → Edit Web Settings. By selecting your specific platform (like WordPress or Shopify), you will get the correct code to copy and paste into your website's HTML.

7. Do I need admin access to my website to install the chat script?

No, you do not need full admin access. However, you do need a way to edit your website’s code. The only requirement for installation is the ability to paste the provided live chat script into the HTML of your website.

8. How do I uninstall or remove the Live Chat widget from my website?

 There are two ways to uninstall or remove the Live Chat widget from your website: Remove the Script: The primary way is to go into your website’s HTML code and simply remove the ChatMaxima embed script that you added during installation. Deactivate the Widget: You can also temporarily disable the widget from your dashboard. Go to Dashboard → Quick Access → Web, and click Actions → Deactivate Account to disable the widget.

9. Is there a limit to how many pages I can display the chat widget on?

 No, there is no limit to how many pages you can display the chat widget on. You can display the chat widget on any page of your website by simply pasting the same embed script into the HTML code for each page where you want the widget to appear.

10. Can I hide the chat widget on specific pages (like checkout or thank-you pages)?

Yes, you can choose to hide the chat widget on specific pages. The widget will only appear on pages where you have embedded the script. By simply not including the script on a specific page, such as a checkout or thank-you page, the widget will not be displayed.

11. Yes, you can enable or disable the chat widget after installation without having to remove the code.

To disable the widget, go to Dashboard → Quick Access → Web, and click Actions → Deactivate Account. To reactivate it, go to the same page, find the account in your list of Deactivated Web Accounts, and click Actions → Activate Account.


Troubleshooting & Technical Details

12. If I make changes to my chat widget, do I need to update the script on my website?

 Yes, but only for certain changes. If you modify your widget's theme, alignment, or other design settings, you must replace the script. Other changes, like welcome messages or pre-chat form fields, do not require a script update.

13. How do I troubleshoot if the widget is not showing up on my website?

The primary troubleshooting method is to check the live chat embed script. Ensure the script is correctly pasted into your website's code and that it is a complete copy.
