An Image Bot Block is a specific component or node within the chatbot builder's visual flow that is designed solely for sending an image or other visual media as part of a bot's response. It streamlines the process of adding visual content into the conversation.
You add an Image Bot Block by selecting it from the list of available chatbox sections and then dragging and dropping it into your bot's conversational flow. You can then connect it to other blocks to define when the image should be sent.
You can add images to your chatbot in several ways: Upload Image (upload a file directly from your computer), File Link (provide a URL), Giphy (search and select animated GIFs), Unsplash (search and select high-quality stock photos), and Emoji (add an emoji to your message).
A single Image Bot Block typically handles one image. However, you can create a series of multiple image blocks in your conversational flow to display several images in sequence to the user.
The image bot accepts a variety of common file types, including .jpeg, .jpg, .gif, .png, .apng, .svg, .bmp, and .ico. The maximum file size you can upload is 10 MB.
File size limits are in place to ensure fast and reliable delivery, but they can vary depending on the specific channel (e.g., Messenger vs. WhatsApp). The platform is optimized to handle a variety of file sizes, but it's best to keep files as compact as possible for the best user experience.
